Invitation to Share Your Views on Llwybr Coed Cymru – The National Forest Trail Pilot
Llais y Goedwig, in partnership with The National Forest for Wales team, is gathering views and opinions on Llwybr Coed Cymru — a proposed pilot trail linking woodlands across Wales using existing paths and routes. We are seeking feedback from communities, local organisations, businesses, and anyone with an interest along the proposed trail corridor.
A series of engagement events will take place along the pilot section, which connects National Forest sites and woodlands across South Wales, from Porthkerry to the Heads of the Valleys.
You are invited to join us at Porthkerry Country Park on Sunday 14 December 2025, between 11am and 3pm, where our team will be located next to the café. Maps of the proposed trail will be available, along with a short set of questions designed to gather visitors’ views.
You can also explore the draft trail route online [link to map].
We appreciate that this event comes at short notice and just before Christmas, so we understand if you are unable to attend. If you have any questions or comments about the trail, please feel free to get in touch.
We will also be present at the Woodland Event in Porthkerry on Saturday 21 February, offering another opportunity to speak with the team and share your thoughts.
The development of Llwybr Coed Cymru is a long-term project, and this marks the very beginning of the planning process. We hope you will join us in shaping a shared community asset that benefits everyone along the route.
Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues or community members who may be interested.
We look forward to hearing from you.
