18/2025 APOLOGIES

19/2025 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

To receive any declarations of interest, including the reason (members are reminded of the provisions of paragraph 11 of the Members Code of Conduct, specifically paragraph 11.1).

20/2025 CASUAL VACANCY

 

Notice is hereby given that one casual vacancy exists for the ward of Cowbridge. This vacancy is advertised from Monday 16th June until midnight on Friday 4th July on the Cowbridge Town      Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council’s websites and noticeboards.

An election will be held if TEN local government electors for the Cowbridge Ward give notice, in writing, of a request for such an election to the Returning Officer by midnight on Friday 4 July 2025. If no election is requested as below the Community Council will fill the vacancy by way of co-option.

To review and approve the financial reports for the previous month.

26/2025 COMMUNITY LIAISON COMMITTEE

The next Community Liaison Committee is scheduled for 1st July 2025 at 6pm.

  1. Request for strategic issues in the Vale to add to the Agenda by Wednesday 25th June 2025.

  1. What would Cowbridge like to get out of the Community Liaison Committee.

  1. Play in your Community Workshop.

  1. Role and format of the Committee including moving to face-to-face meetings.

  1. Use of 106 monies and the role of Community Councils.

  1. Adherence to the Vale Community Council Contract, in particular direct contacts with the Vale’s departments.

  1. Long-term impact on the spending review on the Vale’s Capital and revenue budgets and what benefits the Community Council’s might see from any additional funds.

  1. Members views on the Terms of Reference for the Community Liaison Committee.

40/2025 MUSEUM LOAN OF OBJECTS FORM

To approve the completion of the Loan of Objects Form from Amgueddfa Cymru, National   Museum Wales for a Set of Punishment Stocks, made of beech and a bronze ‘Winchester’ bushel measure, both valued at £1,400.

41/2025 REVIEW OF ELECTORAL ARRANGEMENTS OF THE VALE OF GLAMORGAN

      The Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru are reviewing the electoral arrangements of

      the Vale of Glamorgan with a view to considering and formulating proposals for future

      arrangements. The 6-week consultation period begins on the 5th June 2025 and closes on 16

      July 2025.

      The Commissions ERP 2025 Policy and Practice document can be found on the Commission’s

      website.

      To consider any Representations of the Council to put forward.

42/2025 NEW DEVELOPMENT NAME PROPOSALS

The Vale of Glamorgan Council have advised that they are considering names for the new  development at Cowbridge Grammar School. They request confirmation of approval, any objections or new suggestions by 16th July 2025.
