🍓 Strawberry Tea Success! 🍓
On Saturday 2nd August 2025, the Mayor of Cowbridge (Ancient Borough) with Llanblethian, Cllr Geraint Baty, and Mayoress Hannah Baty hosted a delightful Strawberry Tea in the Lesser Town Hall, in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charity for the year – Motor Neurone Disease.
Guests enjoyed fresh scones with jam and cream, strawberries, a glass of bubbly, and tea or coffee, with the hall buzzing with community spirit.
We were thrilled to welcome Mayor & Mayoress of Barry, Cllr Dennis Clarke and Janet Clarke, who came to support the event. A special mention to Mayoress Hannah, who delivered the strawberry teas to tables with a smile! 💛
A huge thank you to Filco Supermarket, Cowbridge High Street, for donating an enormous tray of 20 boxes of the finest Favori strawberries from Kent.
Thanks also to Cllr Gweneira Baty for running the raffle, Richard Killick for the book stall, and the amazing kitchen team Del, Amanda, Alison & Yvonne for keeping everything running smoothly.
🏆 Raffle Highlight: Mrs Vi Harris was the lucky winner of a bottle of Champagne!
Through the generosity of attendees, donors, and helpers, we raised an incredible £532 for Motor Neurone Disease.
