Cowbridge Town Hall reverberated to the sound of Country Music on Saturday 1st November at the Mayor’s monthly coffee morning. The music was provided by Ric Tinsley who entertained those present to many favourite tunes including Johnny Cash numbers. Members of Katie Lou’s line dancing group enjoyed dancing along to the live music. The Mayor of Cowbridge (Ancient Borough) with Llanblethian Town Council Geraint Baty was very pleased to welcome Ric and Katie Lou to the event. A total of £245 was raised for the Mayor’s charity Motor Neurone Disease MND.
The raffle was won by Roger Price who won a wonderful book ” Tir The story of the Welsh Landscape by Carwyn Graves ” which had been generously donated by Cowbridge Bookshop. Other raffle prizes had been donated by The Pencil Case and from the Mayor’s Family . The Mayor is extremely grateful for all of the support he has received. There will be a Christmas Coffee Morning on Saturday 6th December 10.30.-12 noon in the Town Hall where Katie Lou’s line dancing group will return to perform. All welcome .
