1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies were noted from Cllr Malcom Wilson, Cllr Rowena Harbour and The Town Clerk Cathy Kennedy.
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest declared.
3. PUBLIC QUESTION TIME
There were no questions from members of the public.
4. MINUTES
RESOLVED
The minutes of the meeting held on the 9th of January 2024 were approved as a true and accurate record of the meeting.
5. MATTERS ARISING/ACTION PLAN
The Action plan was reviewed and acknowledged. It was noted good work is being demonstrated by the Community Engagement officer Tom Hope updating the resident on upcoming events and keeping them up to date with Press Releases, also the Deputy Town Clerk Clair Davis in the

absence of the Town Clerk.

FINANCIAL REPORT
The committee received the financial report ending 29th February 2024. It was noted that another column should be added for the year to date.
RESOLVED
The financial report was approved pending the necessary amendments.
6. SECTION 106 MONIES
To receive any update, Cllr Charles Champion told the committee that the Vale Council now has the quotes they needed to proceed with acquiring the S106 monies for the drainage issue between Twt park and Waitrose. The next S106 meeting 13th march at 10 am
7. TREE DONATION REQUEST
Cllr Biga John said that she has been approached by a resident with a view to a donation of trees, the resident has recently moved to Cowbridge leaving behind a large garden and her wish is to place trees in Southgate Park. Questions were raised about sustainability of the trees depending on size. The council asked if the Vale of Glamorgan Council could match fund in the hope of purchasing a larger tree.
RESOLVED
A meeting to be held with the resident, the Council’s Maintenance Supervisor Tim Stephens and Cllr Biga John to discuss.
