The Mayor of Cowbridge (Ancient Borough ) with Llanblethian Town Council Cllr Geraint Baty and the Mayoress his daughter Hannah Baty hosted a Charity Choir Evening on Sat 11th April in the United Free Church, Cowbridge. The event saw the Cowbridge Male Voice Choir perform alongside My Kinda Choir. The audience were treated to a varied repertoire of songs including favourites from the Male Voice such as Adiemus and Can’t Help Falling in Love with My Kinda Choir singing favourites One Day Like This and Mr Blue Sky. The finale was a fantastic roof raising joint performance of Calon Lân. Many thanks to both choirs for taking part. Cakes for the event were donated by Finsbury Food Group Home of Memory Lane Cakes Cardiff. Raffle prizes had been donated by Tesco ,Cowbridge, Horse and Groom, Noble Grape, Golden Wok and others. The main organiser was Cllr Gwen Baty who is a member of My Kinda Choir and a long time supporter of Cowbridge Male Voice as a Patron . Thank you to Keith Brown for printing the programme. The evening raised a fantastic £1634 for Motor Neurone Disease MND. Such an amount can help a person with MND sleep in their own bedroom for 6 months or more by funding the Installation and rental of a stairlift. The Mayor would like to thank everyone who made this event possible.
